In the following years, IGT introduced a number of new casino gaming concepts including S-Slot, which marked the company’s entry into the spinning reel slots market. IGT S2000 slot machine
IGT S2000 Slot Machine are a series of slot machines developed by the company. To identify one slot machine from another IGT has model identification series because mostly all slot machines look so much alike that if you don’t know what to look for then you probably just guess or go by what someone tells you that it is. Many of the games are available in more than one model of machine so knowing which machine is which is important. Following are some of the slot machine identification series from IGT
- S-PLUS – There are 3 ways this machine can be identified. Usually these machines have six serial numbers on the right side The ‘Winner Paid’ and ‘Credits’ meters are to the left of the center of the reel glass. They also have the motherboard behind the hopper.
- S-2000 – Almost any part of these machines can be upgraded, doors, bill and you can get different colored speakers. You can identify these by the long meter to the left of the reel glass, the serial number is seven numbers on the side or you may notice that these machines are capable of taking multiple denominations ($.25 or $.50) there reel glass will show these markings.
- Vision – The Vision games machines look identical to S-2000s except that they have a monitor on the upper glass and a plays a bonus game. The monitor appears flush with the glass and not bordered with lights.
- Reel Touch – These machines have a round top and inset monitor with a lighted frame. These are 5 reel machines and the reels are back lit have five back-lit reels. The reel-touch are similar in appearance to the S- 2000 many of the internal parts are the same.
- I-Plus – Typically you will find these as either a video slot or video poker. The Game King is an example of a multi-game machine built on the I-Plus platform. They are identifiable by their round top, large video display. The display is a touch screen and used to select the games.

As there are speakers on the slot machine so you have that slot machine part to know about the removal and installation of the audio speakers as well as various fluorescent lights that you see on slot machine.
Then comes machine glass, and the displays like vacuum fluorescent display (VFD), light emitting diode display (LED), and liquid crystal display (LCD) as well as the removal and installation of the mechanical meters found in slot machines.

What the history of the machine is such as was it working and just quit was it working and then moved and stopped working and so on. After replacing hold the white self test button down for three seconds then close the door and turn the reset-key. Be careful when sliding the MPU in and out not to bend any pins. The machine will not need a bill validator to work. A 21 tilt is a coin-in-optic error, ether it is missing, dirty and need the dust blown out or the optics are bad. Sometimes it can be the wiring or the MPU but bad or dirty coin-in-optics is the most common problem for a 21 tilt. There is such a thing as tournament mode but this requires the tournament EPROM chips and possible set and clear chips if data gets corrupt. The best bet would be to repair the coin-in-assembly. Basically the CC-16 is for lower denominations such as 5 and 25 cents. The higher the number CC-20 CC-30 the higher the denom. The other thing to watch out for is inhibit or non-inhibit since it has been awhile I can’t remember of the top of my head which one your machine used (I think it was inhibit). Just make sure it is machine specific a Sigma CC-16 will not work with an IGT CC-16 comparator. By the way I would try EBay as Happs prices are very high sometimes. One thing to mention is that a 21 tilt is not from a comparator but from a coin-in-optic problem which is below where the comparator sits. Also the coin comparator and where the coins are inserted outside the machine will be setup for a certain denomination which has to match the comparator 5-25 cents 50 cents token and so on. I would start with the easiest things and be sure they are working such as the buttons and is the door shut completely. I got a bill stuck in it and had to take the bill acceptor out to get the money out and when I put it back, the light won't light up and it won't accept money. Is there a hand credit button inside that I can use instead of keep putting in money to get credits.
